mobile phone short Film

"Being your best friend's Best Man is a great honour; but when your mind is your worst enemy, it can be the greatest burden."

This was a short, written and performed by my good friend, John Francis Shemmings.

I filmed it entirely by myself, during lockdown, on my Huawei Mobile Phone. I also edited it in less than 12h, chasing a festival deadline. Same festival awarded us with "Best Concept" and "Best Director" awards.

lockdown exercise #1

2 min short film

I shot this piece for the roger corman quarantine film challenge during the height of lockdown. At the same time as I was also organising the world's first Online Fringe Festival, to help bring light to artists during the pandemic. These were busy times.

This was my first self-shot self-edited exercise in film. It was all done, from shooting to editing and submitting, in less than 18h using only a mobile phone, my trusty Huawei P20 Pro.

A short film commissioned by the Theatre Centre and Theatre503, during lockdown 2020, where I undertook the role of both director, lead actor, and translator (from English to Bulgarian). The short was filmed, yet again, on my Huawei P20 Pro, this time by my multi-talented life-partner, Diana Prelipcean. It was also enjoyable acting alongside my father

short film - 48h film challenge london 2017

This was my first "directorial Debut" in short film. It was a truly enjoyable and beneficial learning experience, conceiving, scripting, filming and editing a 7 min. short in 48 hours. It was also my first attempt at working with a miraculously-pulled-together crew (off facebook) of 15 talented and passionate individuals. We were the runners-up for an Audience Choice Award.
